Twisting is applied to DTY, ATY, and FDY yarns to give them certain characteristics. This process increases the grip, drape, and elasticity of the yarn. Common twisting methods include Two-for-One (TFO) and Ring Twister. Multi-ply twisting and cabling techniques can be used to achieve specific visual effects. To maintain the quality of twisted yarns (TFY), the twist must be fixed during the finishing stage. TFY yarns are used in the following areas:
Home Textiles: Includes textile products such as curtain fabrics, upholstery fabrics, sewing threads, and embroidery threads.
Apparel: Twisted yarns used in clothing are ITY or twisted DTY yarns. ITY yarns are offered with different twists per meter and are suitable for shawls, scarves, sheets, coat fabrics, and other women's apparel products. Twisted DTY yarns are used in suit-like fabrics and similar textile products.
