With our family of a thousand strong and our production facilities powered by solar energy, we create value for future generations.
Product Details
POY is a partially oriented yarn produced by the melt-spinning method from semi-matte and bright polyester chips. It can be produced in both raw white and dope-dyed (mass-colored) forms using masterbatch colorants. During the melt spinning process, the fibers are drawn to a certain extent to impart the desired level of uniformity, strength, tenacity, and elongation properties.
Polyester POY filament yarns are not used directly in weaving processes. To gain properties similar to natural fiber yarns and to become suitable for weaving, they usually undergo additional processes. These include texturing (DTY - Draw Textured Yarn), air texturing (ATY - Air Textured Yarn), or full drawing (FDY = FOY = SDY = Fully Drawn Yarn). Therefore, POY is typically used as raw material for the production of DTY, ATY, and FDY.
