Product Details
Polyester DTY (Draw Textured Yarn) is produced by a false-twist texturing process. This process involves simultaneously drawing and twisting the yarn. More specifically, DTY is obtained by subjecting POY (Partially Oriented Yarn) to a second texturing process using friction discs that apply heat and tension, resulting in changes in the yarn’s appearance. This process reduces the elongation capacity of POY and imparts crimp and waviness to the yarn. The main goal is to give the yarn physical and visual characteristics similar to natural fibers.
DTY yarn is commonly used in men's shirts, women's coats, woven knit fabrics, car seat upholstery, upholstery fabrics, and floor coverings such as carpets and rugs.
